Everything you want to know about iPhone photo apps but afraid to ask.
InstaShape app (free) goes beyond other shape apps by offering pattern (image) backgrounds in addition to palette of colors. Its shape variety is also cool and you can also adjust opacity level as well.
MocaDeco ($1.99) offers filters, cool fonts for texts, decorations (basic shapes, lines, geometry, hipster signs, and love and botanic-inspired designs. If you don’t want to go to many apps to do all these designs and effects, MocaDeco is all-in-one or one-stop show for you. Go for it!
Studio (free) has been one of my favorite apps. It has so many features (filters, shapes, textures, etc.) but its various doodles and overlay designs are my favorites. Here is one on cats, my favorite category!
Another often-asked question on this blog involves polaroid frames. Most apps with good polaroid frames are not free. All apps on this photo have polaroid frames. I particularly like Polamatic and Fotor. Free apps that include a few polaroid frames are Line Camera, PS Express and Camera+.
Screen shot the first image (credit Ohgollycutiepie on Instagram). Then add it to a photo using PicsArt with “Screen” blending mode.
Infinity Image ($3.99) can spruce up your photos with unique effects. It offers 22 shapes (square and curve iterations) of infinity effects and you can set the frequency as well as the border’s color and size. The app seems to crash quite often though.
Collage Apps: I have several collage apps but the ones I often use are PicFrame, Diptic and Fotorus (which has more functions than rendering a collage). Fuzel is pretty neat too with its out of ordinary collage designs and the customizing feature. To read more about Fuzel, search this blog with the keyword Fuzel. Fotorus has both collage templates and a free-form option that allows you to layout your collage any way you desire.
P.S. I posted this on my photoappsnerd Instagram as well. Follow me there if you’d like. 😁😍
